Cobra 2017 revolver ONLY; t
he Colt Cobra 2017 frame and the older Colt D frames and Colt King Cobra (V) frames are not interchangeable, and these grips will not fit the D-frames or the King Cobra (V) frames.  G10 is a synthetic material known for its strength and is the toughest of the glass-fiber-resin laminates and similar to Micarta and Carbon Fiber.  It is very strong and moisture-resistant, so it is more appropriate than wood for environments where dampness is expected.
The grips listed on this page will
ONLY
fit the new 2017 Colt Cobra revolvers, a redesign of one of Colt's top-of-the-line revolver and considered a classic firearm.  These are oversized grips with finger grooves
that provide a more comfortable grasp on the gun, especially beneficial to those with larger hands or those desiring to replace rubber grips with wood grips.
The grips have beautiful "grain" patterns in the material, with a rich definition and color contrast within the synthetic material, and have the finest quality machining, made right in the USA.  The fit is very precise, and when installed will enclose the front- and back-strap of your revolver's frame.  The grips are polished to achieve a matte surface (as these are not polished to be glossy) that emphasizes the material's "grain" and difference from actual wood.  These will have black, and shades of gray colors present in them, and may appear a faint blue on some monitors, but they are actually black and gray.
The Colt logo is then laser-engraved in the upper portion of each side.
These are then laser-engraved with a
stippled
pattern for better grip; we have others that are then checkered to provide an exquisite design and finishing touch while providing an improved grasp for the shooter of these new Cobra 2017 models, and you can see those in our other listings.  These utilize the frame's locating pins as well as the included dowel pins to ensure they are properly aligned on your gun, with an included grip screw securing the two halves together to make it easy to install these beautiful grips.  The back- and front-strap and finger groove areas are left smooth for comfort.
The grips include a replacement grip screw; brass inserts protect the wood while providing a secure attachment for the single grip screw.  These are ONLY for the Cobra 2017 models; if you'd like other grips please see our other listings as we have over 600 grips available here.

These are for either left- or right-handed shooters, as there is no distinct thumb rest on either side's grip panel.
This is a great way to improve the appearance and handling of your gun while adding the look of fine wood to your Smith.  They complement blued or stainless guns equally well.
